what would be really helpful is to have the possibility to import data (like a list of requirements) and have the in Soley modified nodes/edges exported back into the same file in the right place.
For example, consider this use case: A team of engineers works out a set of requirements using a preformatted, for Soley-import optimized Excel file. Then another team wants to run analyses using the visualization methods of Soley. Import rules and workflows are already available and adjusted for this Excel file. While doing that, they find some missing requirements and want to add them right into Soley. To make sure that the added requirements are not missed in the Excel file (where the first team continues to work on), they want to export them again into the same file.
I know that it is possible to export data in a table format. However, I want it to be exported in a way I can import it again with the same rules I defined earlier in my project. So it would be nice if this is even the same file with the same layout, just some data modified.
Exporting customized tables out of Soley tools is already on our feature request list. With this you will be able to solve your task, I think.
First you create a table view that looks exactly like your input table scheme. Then you save this table view as a view template. Now, each time you want to export back to the same Excel scheme you just open the graph with the table view template and click on Export to Excel.
I guess this will be part of one of the upcoming sprints. I can keep you updated on this if you want to.
